As I write this report, I have completed 123 personal appearances (either teaching, advising, leading worship or producing music) since April 10, 2018. To say this has been a paradigm shift in our lives is a gross understatement, but the joy of seeing how God has orchestrated every move far outweighs any seeming inconvenience.
Andrea is now domiciled at Houston Hobby and is loving flying for Southwest. Since she is moving up little by little in seniority, her schedule is getting better. In fact, she is now able to come and minister with me more and more. Plus, we are finding a rhythm that allows us more time either here or in Houston.
Champion Forest
Since our last letter so many things have transpired that I will just give you the highlights. We continue to work with the folks at Champion Forest in Houston. I am helping them to strategize Multigenerational worship and ministry. The October launch of the new worship schedule has been a tremendous success. As I walk through the building, I see students serving as ushers, greeters, AV volunteers, musicians and worship leaders. This is just the beginning and I will keep all of you posted as things progress. I am not a staff member but a contracted consultant and spend 4-8 days a month leading or consulting with these great folks.
Worship Projects
I have produced 2 new worship recording projects this year. The first titled, “Glorious Revival”, was recorded by Champion Forest and it is now been released as a worship choir print project with Prism Music. We had a Night of Worship to release the project and I have posted several of the videos of that night on Facebook. The second project is called “Generation Carols” with Tommy Walker. We have completed the recording but the mixing and editing are not yet completed. Prism Music will release this new project in print in late March for the 2019 Christmas season.
Speaking Engagements
I continue to preach and lead worship in local churches doing Weekends of Worship. My time has also still been given to working with local church worship leaders in an advisory/ mentoring type role. Our conference work continues and I have many new opportunities in 2019 to teach at conferences like Metro, National Worship Leader Conference, Missouri Evangelism Conference and Kansas Baptist Worship Leaders retreat.
Global Partnerships
We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful opportunities to pour into worship leadership globally and are presently working on a strategy to broaden our reach with ongoing training and resources. We will continue to identify global partners this year and have already been invited to Cuba, Argentina, Hong Kong, South Africa and Moldova for 2019. Argentina is on the books for May but the other dates are not fully secured.
